Linux is a Unix-like computer operating system. It is one of the most well-known examples of open source development and free software. In Linux operating system, generally all fundamental source code can be modified, redistributed and used freely by anyone.

The name “Linux” derives from the Linux Kernel, started by Linus Torvalds in 1991. The libraries and utilities of a Linux system come from the GNU (a free computer operating system) announced by Richard Stallman in 1983. The GNU part is the basis for the optional name GNU/Linux.

Predominantly acknowledged for its use on Server computers, Linux is supported by several corporations like HP, IBM, Dell, Novell, Red Hat, Oracle Corporation, and Sun Microsystems. Linux is used as an operating system for a number of computer hardware, such as desktop computers, servers, laptops, super computers and so on.

As well as Linux operating system was designed for general purpose use on servers and desktops, distributions may be specialized for various purposes such as computer architecture support, stability, embedded systems, localization and security to a specific constituency or language, support for real time applications, and assurance to a known desktop environment.

Linux is the most widely ported computer operating system. Today, more than three hundred distributions (flavors) of the Linux are available in the market. These flavors are known for their reliability, stability, data security and data safety. The data stored on Linux computers are safer than other computer operating system.

Although, Linux computers are known for their reliability and stability, but there is nothing that can be said 100% safe and secure. Like other operating systems, Linux can also fail and problems can occur with Linux systems also and the data stored on Linux hard drive may get lost. Data loss is the most drastic situation for a computer user where he/she loses the business in the form of data.

But there is no need to panic. With the advanced technologies, the recovery of lost data is possible with the help of data recovery software. Data recovery software are specially designed tools that can be used in all situations of data loss. The Linux recovery software provide an easy and simple user interface so that you can perform recovery by yourself without having any sound technical knowledge.

Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery is the most powerful and tremendous software that performs the Linux recovery job very easily and effectively. This software uses advanced and powerful scanning algorithms to search and locate your lost data and recover them. This software provides data recovery with a great ease and efficiency.
