Italian universities are often accused of failing to prepare students to entry into the world of work. After graduation they know very well the theory in general, but lack any practical preparation. For this to be hired is much more difficult, the risk is to get only low profile job, and then it will be very difficult to make a career. This obviously does not apply to everyone, but it is still a risk. In addition, for those who aim for a international high level career, they should also be able to create and get the right contacts, the right companies. All this is by no means easy. For this reason, many institutions have enabled numerous training courses specifically to these needs, divided by level of corporate interest sector. In fact the first thing to do is deciding which business sector you want to work in, and later to specialize in this area. The more one is specialized the more he is good, and the greater the chance to earn more.

Higher education is then divided into various sectors, there are masters, which may be academic or not, according to the organization which organizes them, or higher education courses, then advanced training courses, and specialization and retraining courses for graduates.
A master of a good quality typically lasts about a year after passing an examination for entry. The course is usually divided into hours of lectures and an internship in a company, in Italy or abroad. The months in the company are critical to know the practice of work. If the master is a high level, the institution will have contacts with major corporations, where to do the internship. These companies also often offer scholarships for some selected students of the master. These are useful criteria for assessing the effectiveness of a course.

Often the high-level master costs a few thousand euro, but these investments are very useful for those who aim for a successful career in Italy or abroad. Before registering, check the percentage of employees in the previous years. Obviously a master will not guarantee that you will not find an important and well paid job right away, but the proportion of employees will make you understand the effectiveness of this course in preparation for the working world. No one can guarantee you the job of your dreams, but we also have to properly exploit the knowledge gained, the contacts that you have created, references, reputation.

The masters are not the only tool, for those already working but that would like to increase their opportunities for advancement, there are many part time masters and management courses. These courses are often held during the weekend, they are in fact considered part time and are definitely a great tool for those who want a career, specializing in a sector. Generally they turn to those who already have some years of work experience behind them.

There are many ways to become successful managers, the important thing is not to miss the opportunities that are offered.
