You can decide to have personal classes with a really good teacher, or join a group class which will also have a teacher. This will rely on what your requirements are and who you want the lessons for. It will be great if you could find a good cello music school that is near your place of residence. The cello is not an easy instrument to learn so a physical class is recommended.
This is because you can physically see the small changes and nuances that make for successful cello playing. However, there are students who use a combination of a physical class and online lessons.
